A&D's entry level precision balance is a full-featured balance at an affordable price. The balance has capacity of 3200 grams with readability of 0.01 grams. It is approved as an NTEP Class ll weighing device to 0.1 grams. The value of scale division (d value) is approved to 0.01 grams and the value of verification scale division (e value) is 0.1 grams. The A&D FX-iN series has a selectable mode "e" = "d" or "e" = "10d". "e" = "10d" is the default to meet the broad range of applications in the U.S. market. There is also a Measurement Canada mode.

The patented Compact Super Hybrid Sensor in this scale provides fast, one-second response time. Features include an internal shock absorber that protects from the adverse effects of vertical or transverse overloading. This model has external calibration.

This balance comes with RS232 Interface which allow it to be used with many printers and computers.
